Quick Leonard Kieffer is currently assisting Antelope Valley Healthcare District in the recruitment of a new CNO. Antelope Valley is located 70 miles north of the city of Los Angeles, in Lancaster, CA.
Antelope Valley Hospital is a full-service 420-bed, not-for-profit, acute care medical and surgical hospital. It is the Antelope Valley’s only full service hospital, and the only hospital in its service area that provides obstetrical services. The community served by Antelope Valley Hospital encompasses more than 3,000 square miles, including northern Los Angeles County and eastern Kern County.
The population of Lancaster is approximately 145,074 residents in 2009, and is the second-largest city on the California side of the Mojave Desert.
Reporting to the CEO, this individual will serve as a member of the executive management team. The CNO will have direct accountability for inpatient nursing units and indirect responsibility for the nursing practice in all nursing areas, including the emergency department, home health and the Women and Infants Pavilion.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a visionary nurse leader who is dynamic, team-oriented, and quality-focused. Licensure in the state California, or eligibility to attain one, is required, as is a BSN, and a master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
